Huh... I hadn't realized that my diploma said "University Of California, Berkeley LLC" on it until now.

Bingo. When I was a kid in the 80s, The Bowery, the Manhattan Bridge approach, Chinatown parks, all had massive tent cities. All of that was mitigated by Right To Shelter. To undo this would be to turn NYC into what SF looks like today. Even SF's suburbs have the same woes.

It seems to me the ticket be closed *after* the issue is actually resolved. After the cancellation happens. This feels a bit like "We have to close the ticket right now because we have a KPI for Ticket Time To Closure"

I drove past someone with one of these light bars turned on the other day. Pretty ridiculous.

Someone at a previous gig once observed that he couldn't afford a house in the South Bay, but he could afford a townhouse, and how he didn't want to buy one because it wouldn't appreciate as fast as a house.

I think I’ve seen this in older spaces in Manhattan - it’s a phone connector for a phone that can switch across many lines (like a secretary)
