Unlike toasts, dialogs are part of a broader concept called "Modals"
Modals creates a “mode” that prevents interaction with the rest of the interface until the modal task is completed
Some other examples of modals are sidebars, bottom sheets and a couple of i did not illustrate
I tried to visualize the difference between a toast and a dialog
You can think of Toasts as road signs⚠️🚫, they direct you as you keep moving
You can think of dialogs as checkpoints🚧, you stop till you full the requirements
In rare cases, toasts may also require inputs
I made some intentional choices while designing this empty states to guide users when there's nothing (yet) to show.
First impressions do matter. don't they?
As designers or artists, maybe creatives in general - there are so much cues - i mean, so so much cues in our everyday life to be translated directly on how we represent elements, typography, colors and hmmm... just about anything else on screen - or on paper/canvas.

So while i was ChatGPTing and doing some other research for this project, i learnt (to my suprise) that the truck tankers that transport our fuel carry various types of fuel at a time in compartments.
So i designed a flow around that.
Imagine you're a truck driver, It's 2AM. You're somewhere between Port Harcourt and Onitsha, and suddenly... no signal.
That’s where offline maps come in.
With offline maps, your route stays live.
Your hands stay on the wheel, eyes on the road. No need to tap or scroll.
