I don’t want to travel endlessly for work. I don’t want my weekends to be over-committed with activities. I don’t want to miss bedtime with my kid. I don’t want to wear blazers — or, hell, even shoes.

- Over the last year, our kids have endured catastrophe after catastrophe with a level of grace, patience and resilience most of their grown-ups can rarely muster. I’m so proud of them — and worried for them.
