has patched 99.9999% of all exploits that would infect your computer via these common filetypes. The only, and I *mean* only, scenario where you will get a virus from a common filetype is you getting zero-day'd. And again, ZERO people reading this will EVER get zero-day'd. 2/3

It's more harmful to generalize it as "you can get a virus from common filetypes" than "you can't get a virus from common filetypes" because getting people paranoid about common piracy is the *last* thing we need right now, and ZERO people reading this will EVER get zero-day'd.
