    Didn’t realize yesterday would be my last day working in a newsroom for the foreseeable future. Newsrooms are irreplaceable spaces and the work that comes out of them is so special. @TheSpec will continue to serve the city from our home offices. That’s a promise, #HamOnt. πŸ’›

    Today marks one year of sobriety β€” a New Year’s resolution I would have said seemed impossible this time last year. It was hard at first, but it eventually got easier along the way. Today, I’m thinking of everyone else on this same journey. ❀️

    I wish I had more to share about the mass layoffs at Metroland this morning β€” but I don’t. My heart is broken for my affected colleagues who have worked so hard to keep their communities informed under increasingly trying circumstances. Local news is so vital. This is awful.
