- That husband stitch, Jesu oo😭😭, After having a painful labor and eventually an epidural(Vaginal tear during childbirth), the nurses started stitching me while i was wide awake, guess what? they gave me the husband stitch,when my husband came into the labor room, they told him“Medical misogyny is not a thing” meanwhile things like the “husband’s stitch” exist & have been happening to women without their knowledge & consent. Meanwhile, you need a husband’s consent to get your tubes tied & in some countries, you need his consent to get contraception.
