20 years ago when I had just arrived in Sweden I got sick. Really sick. I was miserable, so my partner took me to see the doctor. I will forever remember how the doctor yelled at me for coming there when my test showed that I had influenza. (1)

- My timelineâs full of people wearing masks and it makes me ridiculously happy. Iâm usually the only one masking in this whole damn city of 120.000 people, once every few months I see someone with a surgical mask. It can feel very lonely.
- Replying to @fiothenerdI think about this a lot. Nowadays I donât think anyone would care anymore. The waiting rooms are full of coughing people and the doctors and nurses pay no attention to it. No one tells people off for spreading a respiratory virus. No one cares. (3)
- My best friend since childhood is in a risk group. For years she stayed at home, isolating herself to stay safe. Then Germany dropped the masking mandate & her husband stopped masking too, and promptly brought back Covid, infecting her. Now she has Longcovid and is disabled.
- Doctorâs appointment in Sweden: Doctor sees me in my Aura 1883+ respirator & the first thing he does it whip out the oxymeter (even before greeting me). I guess he didnât expect the 99% saturation, he was pretty miffed for the rest of the appointment.
- My dentist bought a HEPA filter for me đ„° It was up and running at max in the room when I arrived. She was so proud and I was so happy.
- âYou mask at home?!â Yes, I only take my FFP3 off in my bedroom. Why? Because the rest of the family isnât masking & I have medical conditions that mean I could easily die if I catch the Covid they bring home. (A big đto all the US & Canadian men leaving troll comments now đ)
- Iâd love to see a well-know person who normally always masks actually NOT taking off their masks for a photo opportunity. Please, be that person. Otherwise my teenager, being the only one who masked consistently on all his class photos for years, has more guts that you.
- We never wanted to have closed schools. We wanted safe schools. FFP2 masks for teachers & students. HEPA filters in all classrooms. Regular quick tests for students & teachers to find asymptomatic cases. CO2 meters in all classrooms. We got none. Students & teachers got sick.
- Replying to @fiothenerdThey got really upset because I had been sitting in the waiting room with all the other sick people and I had been coughing. They genuinely yelled at me, so much that I started to cry. (2)
- Good morning world. From today on, no one younger than 18 years can be vaccinated against Covid-19 in Sweden, not even voluntarily. And don't give me this shit about this just being a recommendation: It is impossible to get your kid vaccinated now, I know, I tried.
- If you want to know how this will affect children & younger adults in the long run, go & analyze Swedish statistics about the health of Swedish kids since the Pandemic started. No kids under 12 years got vaccinated here. And the 12-17 year olds got just two Covid vaccinations.BREAKING: U.S. regulators say annual COVID-19 shots for healthy younger adults and children will no longer be routinely approved. Companies that want to market their vaccines to those Americans will need to conduct large, new studies. apnews.com/article/vaccinâŠ
- Reminder: Sweden never closed nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools during the Pandemic. Whooping cough in the Stockholm : 2023: 52 2024: 844 "According to the Public Health Agency, the increase is due to an immunity debt after the pandemic..." svtplay.se/video/KqPbgMG/âŠ
- Dear Violet Affleck. You donât know me, I am just a Covid-conscious mom of two boys (17 & 19) in Sweden but I want to let you know that your activism means the world to me. I know the ridicule is hard, but donât give up. You are not alone. They do the same to us every day. â€ïžđ«
