    We just released @IRENA’s new costs report, showing #renewables are increasingly the cheapest source of new electricity. The message is clear: The case for new & much of the existing coal power generation is environmentally & economically unjustifiable. bit.ly/373h14J

    We simply cannot #3xRenewables without the infrastructure to support it. I fully endorse #COP29’s Energy Initiatives and urge countries to rally behind them to set the right conditions for the transformative change we urgently need.

    I welcome that tripling of #renewables & doubling energy efficiency by 2030 has been recognized by #COP28 as priority #climateaction. This is monumental. @IRENA believe it's the most realistic course-correction to urgently overcome systematic barriers stemming from fossil fuels.
