- Why are masks made mandatory for hospital staff when Influenza cases rise, but not when Covid cases are high?Mandatory face masks for all staff in patient-facing areas at Humber Health Partnership group of hospitals. Dedicated wards at Hull Royal. #flu #nhswinter24
- I spoke to a friend this morning who is about to commence a course of chemotherapy. It was interesting to hear them say that their NHS Consultant has told them to use a FFP3 mask to avoid SARS-CoV-2 infection as their immune system will be suppressed.
- 'Silent' but deadly condition rising with 20% more people in hospital... "The British Liver Trust says the data "sounded alarm bells" after it showed almost 15,000 more people being admitted to hospital with the disease in England in a single year."
- "School aged children will be offered a flu vaccine... This is to help protect them against the disease and help reduce its spread to both other children and their parents and grandparents" Shouldn't the same apply to Covid?

- The impression I draw from the UK Covid-19 Inquiry so far is that there are an awful lot of people in Politics, Public Health and Medicine who are working at levels which are way beyond their capabilities.

- We have just had a wave of SARS-CoV-2 in which, by UKHSA estimates, about 25% of the UK population was infected. But Dr Roland Salmon has just told the UK Covid Inquiry that we should still be isolating the vulnerable until Herd Immunity is reached "however long that takes"...?
