This early dating tip surprised my guy friends: Never make jokes about a woman’s safety. Example: She says she’s sharing her location with friends during your date. Do NOT say “What, you don’t trust me?!” It activates an ick so primal, so powerful, that you will not recover.

If a guy hits on you but gives you an out… impeccable game. 10/10. Like a “I don’t want to take up too much of your time… but can I give you my number and you can text me if you want?” is absolutely killer. So many men interrupt your day for WAY too long without consent.

This example is me going LIGHT… there are also men out here saying “You never know, I might be an axe murderer!” thinking he’s on Rogan and Friends while the woman is texting her friend “SOS CALL ME.” Safety is the one area you never joke about with women until they know you.
