    Family and Friends gathered to farewell Hilton Donaldson in a lovely service in his home town of Drouin yesterday. I was deeply touched when his Mum Sandra presented me with his binoculars which was neatly hand written in the Will. The trusty Carl Zeiss 10x50’s in immaculate

    A profound loss for many in our industry today, with the passing of Graham “Shadow” McNeice at age 76. Shad’s the most selfless,caring man I have had the honour to call a close friend. Dealing with numerous health issues this year, Graham passed peacefully today, feeling much

    RIP Hilton Donaldson. A flamboyant race caller in his time who was a loyal and trusted friend for 3 decades. I’m deeply saddened my phone with his name will no longer ring but take solace in the fact his pain is over. 💔

    Regardless of the Newscorp ratings of current callers there is no doubt todays pre-planned lunch of these legends of broadcasting surpasses the lot. Individually 3 absolute legends that defined broadcasting of all 3 codes

    During the supposed lockdown 36 INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS have landed or will land today in Sydney. We have to live like prisoners in our home, while 1000’s continue to arrive each day, while they self isolate. How is this policed and WHY is Sydney international even still open? 😡😡

    Amazing how much free financial advice is out on Twitter directed at the Kinane crew. Is it anybody’s business if they want to enjoy a good horse to race here?Not everything in Australia is for sale. Imagine how much better Oz racing would be if there were more owners like em.

    What an honour to have my childhood idols up in the Randwick Box today to put on a show for their fans.Race-calling icons John Tapp and Ian Craig who scraped in by a boarding house scrape of butter to witness Opal Ridge win the race named in their honour. As called by Tappy!

    I think it’s fair to say among the racing community that Bruce McAvaney,Matt Hill @BasilZempilas any many other fine commentators etc ,have excelled in their duties to bring joy to our nation in the darkest hours of our existence .
