- At dawn this morning in South Lebanon, the entire Irish-Polish Battalion paraded in silence to honour the memory of our fallen comrade, Pte Seán Rooney, on his first anniversary. Later, we will honour his memory at the Tibnine Memorial. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
- This Christmas morning the thoughts and prayers of all the members of 121 Bn UNIFIL remain with Seán's mum Natasha her partner Paul, Seán's sisters Robyn and Carragh, his grandparents and extended family and friends 1/3
- Members of 121 Inf Bn UNIFIL gathered together this morning to share in the funeral service of Pte Seán Rooney. Our deepest condolences go to Seán's family especially to his mother Natasha, whose brave words have inspired us to continue our mission in Seán's memory

00:00 - As the day drew to a close here in south Lebanon, so too did our dawn to dusk honour guard at Peacekeepers' Square in Camp Shamrock, involving men and women from across the Battalion. T-wall mural painted by Pte Jackson, 2 Cav, our predecessor in 122 Inf Bn. Never forgotten.

- On 02nd APR, Sgt Declan Kileen will complete a half marathon in a bomb suit weighing over 30Kgs. He will complete the challenge in Camp Shamrock to raise much needed funds for Infinity Friends, Athlone, a voluntary run social club for autistic children aged between 3 and 17.
- Congratulations to Cpl Paul "Butch" HALPIN, who recieved news today from @DF_COS Vice Admiral MELLETT, that he is the Overall DF Values Champion. Cpl HALPIN was seriously injured in a parachuting accident in OCT '16 while a member of the DF "Black knights". (1/3)
- On 14 JAN, members of the 121 Bn and invited guests held a month's memory Mass for our fallen comrade and friend, Sean Rooney. To accommodate the huge crowd, the largest building in the camp, the dining complex was converted.
- Today at the Defence Forces UNIFIL Memorial in Tibnine, the Force Commander, the Mayor of Tibnine and the Senior Irish Officer Col Tom McGrath laid wreaths to honour our 48 fallen soldiers. Afterwards Mass was celebrated at St. George's Church in memory of Pte Seán Rooney.
