A stunning 50% of Americans see China as the greatest threat to America. Agree or disagree, like it or not, support it or hate it, this is our reality. Businesses, Investors, regulators, elected officials, everyone needs to understand and discuss this.

Breaking: Biden signs into law a bill banning imports from Xinjiang into the United States, unless the company can prove they weren't made with forced labor. The bill passed the Senate 100-0, and the House 428-1. This could radically reshape global supply chains. Hugely important

Exclusive: Wilbur Ross served on the board of a Chinese joint venture until 2019. In other words, while helping run the Trade War, the Commerce Secretary was partnered with a Chinese state-owned enterprise. Thread on this massive conflict of interest.

I'm looking forward to @elonmusk's comments on Chinese politics, his views on Chinese leaders, and his opinions on who should actually be running China. Elon, you've done Europe, Canada, Japan, and elsewhere: tell us what you think about Chinese politics today. Please.

To make Mulan, Disney worked with four propaganda departments in the Chinese region of Xinjiang, the site of a genocide against Muslims, and the Xinjiang public security bureau. This is a horrific. Here's my article on the subject, and a thread on why.

Incredible. This photo reportedly shows two Chinese professors in Shanghai standing bravely between dozens of police and protesting students. (h/t@RealBeiMing)

TikTok just acknowledged to European users that it can share their data with the Chinese government. This is a massive admission, and a key to a puzzle. To understand why, it's important to understand CCP influence in Chinese companies (thread).

Baidu Maps show that there are 38 Shandong dumpling restaurants and 67 Shanxi noodle restaurants in Taipei. Palates don't cheat. #Taiwan has always been a part of China. The long lost child will eventually return home.

But this raises serious questions about Ross's ability to act in the interest of the Commerce Department, over his personal interests. Ross has long been criticized for his ethical violations. This entanglement with China is one of his worst. (end)

North Korea may end up sending as many as 100,000 troops to help the Russian war effort, which could be transformative. THERE IS NO WAY THIS COULD HAPPEN WITHOUT CHINA'S APPROVAL.

Breaking: The Senate just unanimously passed the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which will ban all imports from Xinjiang unless the USG can determine "clear and convincing evidence" that they aren't made with forced labor. This is revolutionary. axios.com/uyghur-forced-…

No big deal, iust Microsoft using engineers in China to help maintain the Defense Department’s computer systems. I couldn’t possibly imagine anything wrong with this.

The Communist Party of China DID NOT DEFEAT THE JAPANESE IN WORLD WAR 2. The Chinese Nationalists -- with a huge amount of American support -- defeated the Japanese. Beijing's Sept 3 parade pretends that it's their government that won World War 2. It's not. The history is clear.
