    I met the Holocaust survivor who became my 'aunt' at the Tree of Life synagogue 25 years ago. Today I called to make sure she was still alive. "All day have been thinking about when they killed my family in the synagogue in Vilna," she said. That was before the Holocaust started.

    The article goes on to say "numerous people were wielding AR-15 rifles and other firearms." If this election happened in Africa, "armed" would be in the headline (and "numerous" would be in the lead).

    Right now: Barricades are up around the Supreme Court building, just minutes after reports from Politico were leaked indicating SCOTUS has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.

    Interesting. They suspended flights to West Africa pretty fast during the Ebola outbreak. And Ebola is a lot easier to intercept at the airport, to trace, etc. Then again, all those loans....

    Prize for the first person (who doesn’t know this airport) to figure out what this mass of people en route to T gate, waiting for more than an hour in an airless waiting area with no plugs, no refreshments, no airport amenities of any kind has in common…

    This article is a little bit hard to follow but it's worth revisiting after today's Ethiopian Airlines crash -- same plane, this Boeing that the company and the FAA decided pilots didn't need retaining for.

    A year before that, also @BrusselsAirport, I was asked how I got “that African” name (I have my husband’s name on legal documents). I said, “I married an African.” He then asked, I swear to God, “Why did you do that?” This place has a problem and it isn’t only T terminal.
