- A profoundly sad day. Westminster has voted to legalise abortion up to birth. One of the lowest moments in British history.
- This is the same Nicol Sturgeon which still makes it a legal requirement to wear a face covering in places of worship in Scotland.

- The Prime Minister is not visiting Scotland. He is Scotland’s Prime Minister!I understand the PM will visit Scotland later this week. Since this would be our first opportunity to meet in person for a while, I’ve invited him to Bute House to discuss Covid/recovery. We differ politically, but our governments must work together where we can.
- It’s like the Scottish Government put “stay alert” into a thesaurus just to be different.

- I've spent my day watching proceedings in the Commons. It's a disgrace. Such a sensitive issue being rushed through the House. Voting on amendments which haven't been debated. This is NOT parliament at its best
- A bunch of school children skipped school to chant anti-Tory/pro-Corbyn chants today. Nothing could describe the politicalisation of the UK's education system any better.
- Johnnie Walker Princes Street. An excellent tourist attraction in the heart of Edinburgh, promoting one of Scotland's greatest products. Under SNP plans, they would have to board up their windows and drop the Johnnie Walker name. How is this stronger for Scotland?
- My wife and I are delighted to announce the birth of our twins, a healthy baby boy & baby girl, on Friday 22nd August. Both babies & Mum are doing well, with us heading back home yesterday. Now onto the sleepless nights! 😅
- BBC presenters spoke over God Save the Queen. Sigh #TrumpUKVisit
