Today marks a bittersweet milestone — my last day at @iconicwp. I started it in 2018, building on top of my first plugin from 2011. Leaving the team is tough, but I'm excited to start a new chapter with @automattic as a Product Lead for @WooCommerce Core. To new beginnings! 🥂🚀

I'm excited to say that as of today, my responsibilities at @WooCommerce are evolving. I have been asked to take the role of Core Product Manager! 🎉 Previously, I've led specific areas of core, like order management, but now I will help shape the overall vision of WooCommerce.

To be clear, I’m currently hiring for a full-time WP dev with immediate work. Happy to pay some upfront to help you out if you can do the work in question.

I feel quite strongly that "Orders" should be a top-level menu item in WooCommerce/WordPress. That's where merchants with active stores will spend most of their time. Agree?

Unpopular opinion(?): All plugins should have links to their settings page from the plugins list.

I've been exploring AI-based games and @WooCommerce, so last night I built this 'endless gallery' concept for my photo prints. Stroll through an infinite hallway, discover my photography, and click any image to view the product page. Try it here: gallery.jameskemp.photo

I'm very excited to be working with @EqualizeDigital - @heyamberhinds @mr_chrishinds - on a full accessibility audit of the frontend of @WooCommerce. 🙌🏻 They've already completed the initial audit and the team at @10up are working through fixing any issues which arose.

With huge thanks to @EqualizeDigital and @10up, we can proudly say: WooCommerce 10.0, when used with a core WordPress or accessibility-ready theme, is fully conformant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA and substantially conformant with level AAA.

One simple CSS change in the #WordPress admin plugins screen makes all the difference to the UX.

These are my two favourite shots from #WCEU in Athens, so far. Just look at those colours! Glad I took my camera 😅

Did you know Chrome has a built in flow recorder? You can record actions on any website, then replay them to ensure they're working (or in my case, automate repetitive tasks). This is incredible!
