Family members always know how to bring you back down to earth. There are no excuses now the election is over, apparently...

- A huge thank you to everyone for your kind messages but mainly to the 100s of Labour Party members in Rushcliffe who were so enthused to have four great candidates to choose from, all ready to put drive Rushcliffe forwards. I will do everything I can to repay the faith put in me
- Delighted to see @BassetlawLabour deliver its best ever results winning 38 of 48 seats. We have a fantastic team & a great vision for #Bassetlaw. Thanks to all the residents who have put their trust in us to improve this fantastic place. Work begins "tomorrow" (in a few hours)!
- Two election wins in #Rushcliffe district today, not for the #Tories but for #Labour for the 1st time since (we think) the late *1960s*! There's lots more work to do but the message from Monday will be tweaked... Labour not only CAN win in Rushcliffe but HAS. Change IS happening!
- Delighted to have addressed a small audience of Rushcliffe voters last night, talking with @ClaireWard4EM about the potential for the area as well as challenges facing a potential Labour government at home and overseas. #VoteLabour if you want the best for #Rushcliffe and beyond
- We've spoken to 1000s of #Rushcliffe people already this year turning it #Labour for the first time in 50 years in May, and look forward to speaking to 1000s more in the coming weeks with the excellent local team. Julie, Liz and I got a head start earlier, despite the weather!
- 🏹 Today is Nottinghamshire Day, a day to celebrate the home of the Pilgrim Fathers, Boots, Bramley apples, Ibuprofen, Becky Adlington and, of course, Robin Hood among many other things. It's also a great day to support the many local businesses and pubs we have. Have fun! 🌳
- Great to be out with some of the team tonight in Ruddington. News about the election travelled fast! This is our chance to change the direction of our country. I look forward to speaking to #Rushcliffe residents about our plans over the coming weeks.
00:00 - Just part of the team out on the #LabourDoorstep in Rushcliffe today, reminding voters to support @ClaireWard4EM and @gary_godden to ensure a better future for the East Midlands.
- Delighted to hear that another #Bassetlaw bid has been successful, bringing £20m into #Worksop town centre. It will kick start the wider #regeneration of our towns and follows £3.4m UKSPF money and, of course, the multi £bn fusion energy plant decision. Well done to all involved!
- Since when did 40-year-old MP @Bren4Bassetlaw warrant getting a jab ahead of the queue? This makes a mockery of the system when millions are waiting. Have any other volunteers been vaccinated like this? We might as well all sign-up... @carolecadwalla @campbellclaret @piersmorgan
- The decision to cut the aid budget today, while arguably justifiable domestically, is v. regrettable. A vacuum is being left by the UK and US withdrawing support to foreign partners, and other players will fill that void. The remaining ODA budget must be properly ringfenced.
- Delighted to see the talented @BassetlawCLP team return a new Councillor in @darrell_pulk who will be fantastic. We have such a positive vision for #Bassetlaw and are looking forward to sharing this with residents and businesses at the next District and general elections.
- This is really powerful from Natalie whose personal experience of these issues cannot be comprehended by the masses. As a 15yo mum, I was told what happened was my fault. @KemiBadenoch had power, yet did not meet one victim, or speak about grooming once. I do not know how she dares try & score points now. Thank god we have a gov that is taking violence against women & girls seriously.
