Listening to irate New York hedge fund billionaire Leon Cooperman on CNBC right now lamenting people "sitting at home getting their checks from the government, trading their stocks." “This fair share is a bullshit concept," he shouts. "It’s a way of attacking wealthy people."

Subway conductor just announced our train was stopped for a “police inspection.” Then, for 5 minutes, pairs of officers walked thru the cars and platform. No specific complaint, per officer, just looking “for any kind of violation.” (They got a tourist for vaping). Is this new?

Footage of two New York City police officers opening fire at a subway station as they confronted a man holding a knife shows they fired at him as he was standing still, his arms by his side and his back to a train.
In this image from video provided by the New York Police Department, officers point their weapons towards Derell Mickles at the Sutter Avenue subway station in the Brownsville neighborhood of the Brooklyn borough of New York, on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024. (NYPD via AP)
