“Wonder where the fire lane is” I ponder to myself while sitting on a small balcony drinking coffee before walking 2 blocks to pickup items for breakfast.
1) Fire departments ~can~ buy fire apparatus for narrower streets. We need to demand they do so.
2) Mandating wide streets is a life safety issue that is far more costly in dollars & lives.
3) Allowing fire marshals to dictate our built environment must (and can) be stopped.
