    For context, I made this slide for a talk I gave on PROs - patients r the only reliable source of data on QOL, severity of sympt/AEs & impact on daily life. Grade 1 can impact, esp when persistent & managing them is a $$ tox! Tolerable is @ being able to function, to LIVE. #LCSM

    My 4th & final HS grad. Maya was 6 when I was diagnosed with #lungcancer. My #1 goal was to live to raise my kids (lc robbed that from my dad). I still have a lot of raising & living to do, but this is a huge milestone & an emotional one ❤️ #LCSM #ResearchMatters #Goals #KU #RCJH

    THIS! Jack was 12 when I was diagnosed with lung cancer. My biggest fear was he would go through what I did & lose a parent to lc at a young age, but....Thanks to advancements in research I lived to see him graduate college today ❤️ 🎓#LCSM #OneDownThreeToGo

    Day 15: Why does #researchmatter? My kids were 6, 8, 10 & 12 when I was dx w/#lungcancer. My goal was to see all 4 kids graduate 8th grade bc my dad died of lc 3 weeks before I did. Yesterday, my youngest committed to @UnivOfKansas! #RCJH 💙❤️💛 #KU #ItsAFamilyThing #LCAM #LCSM

    Yesterday was my DD/dx day & while I don't make a big deal, living w/ #lungcancer for 14 yrs IS a big deal, a story of hope & the power of research! #4 was 6 yrs when I was dx & her only assoc was death (my fam) - so love & appreciate her message🤣#StillNotDead #FuckCancer #LCSM

    Science has never brought me to tears until today. This poster was presented at #AACR25. The study used a cell line based on paired molecular profiling of biopsies derived from my dear friend @ivybelkins cancer. Ivy's voice helped shape research, and now her cells are helping

    My mom died of #smallcell #lungcancer 25 yrs ago, 6 mths after dx. She'd have same prognosis today; only new Rx IO 1st line & Lurb 2nd line. Yes she smoked (quit 16 yrs). Does it matter? Did she deserve to die? Family less sympathy? NO -people matter. We MUST do better! #LCSM

    I made this slide to begin to illustrate patient experience & emphasize many aspects of care that affect outcomes, highlighting gaps in care & areas for improvement It's busy/messy/confusing - it's our reality of 'living' w/#lungcancer **SDOH aren't included yet! #ELCC22 #LCSM

    When your oncologist calls just to check-in, say hi, see how you are /if you have questions/need anything & let you know they're thinking about you during the craziness of #COVID19....Or just to make sure you are #StayingHome & #StayingSafe, lol #TheLittleThings #MadeMyDay #LCSM
