- Just learned that apparently @saveonfoods, which is owned by billionaire Jim Pattison, won’t pay workers who have to self-quarantine due to #COVID19. I won’t be shopping there because not only is it unfair to employees but it’s not safe for customers.

- Why the fuck does someone who has owned his home for 50 years still have a mortgage on it?Richmond Property owners who says he’s owned his home since 1975 and paying taxes on it has been told by his lender they won’t be renewing his mortgage after First Nations land claim. This is just the start.
- Was going to sit this election out, but in the end, I decided that Rustad and the various freaks & lunatics he’s running can’t be given the keys to the province so, despite my many frustrations with the BC NDP, I cast my vote for my local MLA Garry Begg.
- They're not exonerated. They were found not guilty, which means the very high bar wasn't met for criminal conviction. Employment law is littered with cases, particularly fraud, of folks who were found not guilty of a crime but there was just cause to terminate for fraud. 1/2Credit to Ken Holland for giving second chance to Evander Kane & Corey Perry, who proved to be solid citizens & players for the Oilers. With Justice Carroccia exonerating the 5 players in the Hockey Canada sex assault case, I have no issue with them getting a second chance. You?
- This is absolutely an attack on collective bargaining. And probably a breach of the charter.BREAKING - Air Canada and striking flight attendants have been ordered back to work by Jobs Minister Patty Hajdu, who has asked the CIRB to impose binding arbitration on both parties #cdnpoli
- Why the fuck do some people/orgs insist on using Microsoft Teams instead of Zoom for stuff?
- Vancouver is the largest Canadian city without an NHL team right now. Would be great if we could get one.
- I got up early this morning to read Cull's report on the BCNDP leadership race. I critique reports like this for a living and I'll just say I find hers deeply flawed. But I've also stopped caring. Was going to do a google doc or something to outline my concerns (1/3)
- I live in Surrey, have an approximately 2,000 square foot house that is relatively old and not particularly energy efficient and have a monthly Fortis bill of $82. The real question here is what the hell are you doing to burn so much gas?Unreal ! My Fortis Bill has doubled this month - for the same usage that used to cost me $270.76 AND an $85.72 charge for CARBON TAX !
- Hi, @PattyHajdu & @MarkJCarney. @AirCanada's CEO seem to indicate he knew in advance that workers would immediately be ordered back to work and so did no prep for a potential strike. When did you or your offices first talk to the airline about ordering folks back to work?Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau joins BNN Bloomberg to discuss the impact of the strike.
