What happens when you launch Google Chrome for the first time on a Windows 10 machine? When I launched Google Chrome for the first time (and let it sit for a minute), 32 requests were made, and 7.26 MB of data downloaded.

People are freaking out about the recent news that Twitter devs can see your DMs. Twitter isn't open-source. Twitter cannot be publicly audited. Do not trust their blackbox with your data. Assume everything is being watched. Assume nothing is privateโ€•not even your DMs.

*Supposed* is the key word here. @elonmusk inherited the system, and purged much of the previous team. We later learned just how integrated censorship-controls were in the platform, which complicates matters even more. It will take a new team some time to familiarize and improve.

Twitter remains free. How you folks continue to miss this is beyond me. The $8 is for premium features; not access to the platform itself.

What happens when you launch a fresh install of Firefox? I was curious, so I did so with version 68.0.2, and monitored my network activity. Here's what I learnedโ€ฆ

Mind. Blown. I doodle with perspective from time to time, and hate leaving ghost lines across my paper. This is awesome.

Curious what happens when you fire up a web browser for the first time? Me too. I often do this for @brave to make sure things are staying neat and tidy. Today I would like to do it for a few other web browsers. First, let's take a look at Opera.

A few nights ago I purchased some of the oldest JavaScript books I could find. This one is from March of 1996, less than a year after "Mocha" was written, and only a few months after the name "JavaScript" was chosen. I'm going to read it and share fun bits in this thread.

She purposefully blocked the street with her car? That's pretty entitled. His response was over the top, but she's not without blame either.
