- Scholastic Book Fair fliers coming home. Suggestion: Quietly offer to your kid's teacher that you'd like to give $8-10 to her/him to quietly give to 2 kids who don't receive $ from home to buy a book. I've watched at the fairs the kids who wish they could buy a book, but can't.
- I've probably read this poem 100 times, but when the world seems particularly gone to hell, it still brings me to tears.
- Today is the birthday of Fr. @JamesMartinSJ. He’s an absolute mensch, and I should know; I’m his biographer. 📚🙂❤️
- I've read this Wendell Berry poem a hundred times, have even heard WB read it, but when I heard someone begin to read it aloud yesterday, the first line brought tears to my eyes.
- My wife is saying goodbye to her dad, who is dying tonight. If you’re the praying sort, please offer one for her.

- I heard someone described on public radio today as “a very very serious Catholic” because they attend mass every day. I am a very very serious Catholic who only occasionally attends daily mass. There are all kinds.
