A father screams for his child inside of a tiny interview room within a basement waiting room inside LA federal building. The space is not a holding area. No food. No water. No diapers. Those initially detained include a 2-year-old US citizen and a woman with high-risk pregnancy.

Here's a prominent NYC Republican acknowledging Zohran is a US citizen and calling for his deportation anyway. I don't use the term 'fascist' lightly; I use it because it's correct. Denying political personhood to socialists & immigrants is the hallmark!

It's a constitutional crisis. You do, in fact, want to tell it to the judge! A Congressional rep concerned they might get arrested over this is either cowardly, politically illiterate, or both. Your base wants you to do it! Very much!

I fundamentally disagree with this flattening electeds to just their legislative voting records. These are *political* positions, and it's impossible to consider AOC in regard to Palestine without the phrase "working tirelessly to secure a ceasefire".

I think a few things are true at once: 1) Biden’s record on Gaza will (IMO justifiably) forever scar his legacy 2) Harris only slightly rhetorically broke with Biden on Gaza (out of loyalty I suppose?) 3) The lack of remorse Uncommitted has shown since the election is telling

When I met @ZohranKMamdani in 2023 I had already been quoting him for years, from his electric interview with @HadasThier. Zohran didn't hitch himself to DSA looking for a base: he's here because he believes in something bigger than himself, something Yglesias can't comprehend.
