Students at @IUIndianapolis held a prayer vigil for Charlie Kirk’s family and for an end to political violence on Sept. 11, one day after he was shot and killed at a political event at Utah Valley University.
21% of STEM grad students and 10% of total grad students @LifeAtPurdue are Chinese nationals.
Given work visa program changes, they are unlikely to find a job in the U.S.
That means Purdue is training the workforce of a foreign adversary. Indiana must stop this. For @indystar:
BREAKING: @AndrewIrelandIN is the first state representative to come out against the state & local tax breaks for data centers.
He represents Franklin township, which is a target for a Google data center.
Taxpayers shouldn’t subsidize Google. If a trillion-dollar corporation needs a handout to build here in Franklin Township, then that’s not the free market it's corporate welfare. I support @CouncilorHart's request to call down the Google data center zoning case
🚨The shell company behind Google’s Indianapolis data center is VERY SIMILAR to the one in Monrovia.

Indiana literally had to ban BlackRock from managing public funds earlier this year but not a peep from state officials yet on them buying a public utility with a state-granted monopoly.
BREAKING: A member of the Indiana Republican Party has given us this tentative redistricting plan. We’re told several members of the @INHouseGOP were given this map for their consideration over the weekend. We’re also told this map did not come from Indiana Republican legislative
🤷♂️ Why are data centers so unpopular in Indiana?
⚡️Well, a lot of it comes down to the environment created by investor-owned monopoly utilities and the stranglehold granted to them over consumers by state law over the last 23 years.

BREAKING: Indianapolis Councilors Ali Brown and @nickroberts317 put out a joint statement opposing the franklin township data center.
16/15 councilors needed to stop the project have announced their opposition. Now, they need to formally vote the same way on Sept 22.
Wondering why so many data centers are coming to Indiana?
Here are three big ones:
1. A 2019 sales tax break on electricity and equipment
2. State and local tax abatements
3. Loose environmental laws
Can you think of any others?

Indianapolis does NOT need a casino.
State officials want to relocate one here to raise revenue (understandable given the state of our roads).
The problem is, urban casinos make money by disproportionately EXPLOITING POOR PEOPLE.

Charlie Kirk was an inspiration to millions of students in Indiana and across the country.
No one should have to fear leaving their families to plan their funerals as the price of engaging in the public square.

Charlie Kirk often said, “When discourse ends, violence begins.”
I never met the man, but he became a hero to thousands of college students in Indiana and across the country because of his willingness to engage with anyone.
Even more importantly, he was a hero to his wife and
