I get it now. Ted and Heidi Cruz wanted their children to be safe, to have basic sanitary services like heat and running water, to leave behind a third-world apocalyptic nightmare for a safer place. Like so many parents before them, they decided to cross the Mexican border.

I have been asked on two different networks and by two different male hosts today whether abortion rights are as important to women as the economy. I can't say it more clearly: reproductive freedom is economic freedom. They are intrinsically intwined, as every woman knows.

If you are voting for Trump after this rally, you support fascism. If you claim it's because of taxes or immigration or whatever issue makes you feel righteous about supporting a fascist, you're like an Italian supporting Mussolini because he made the trains run on time.

Let this sink in. Jobs reports will *never* be released under this president. That means this report is so bad and they anticipate future reports being so bad that they would rather further tank the economy than disclose it.

I am a firm believer that whatever was said between Trump and Putin (whose English is good enough) privately in The Beast for several minutes without witnesses is the real reason for this whole last minute summit. And I am not so sure it was just about Ukraine.

My heart breaks for their father, who brought his boys to the US from the Soviet Union because he didn’t want them to live under an authoritarian regime that punished decency in public life. As a fellow Soviet Jewish refugee, I find this particularly chilling.

Sounds pretty clear to me. And while I am neither in a violent marriage nor was raised in one, as a mother I can assure Senator Vance that watching your dad beat the hell out of your mom is probably more traumatic for a kid than divorce.
