- The legal reason a pregnant woman can't get divorced in Missouri is because the unborn is not a person so joint custody and support can't be adjudicated until the first breath. You heard that right. Not a person. Until born.
- Before birth control and about a decade before women could get a credit card in their name, my mom had 9 pregnancies before the age of 26. 5 miscarriages. When she had her tubes tied after the 9th because she almost died, our Catholic cop birth dad beat the shit out of her. 1/2
