we know this isn't the news you want to hear, but after countless attempts, we are not able to restore downloading from youtube for longer than a few hours at a time. unfortunately, youtube will not be available until further notice :( all other services function perfectly fine

youtube seems to have changed something on their side, cobalt may be unable to get videos from there for some time. to put it bluntly, we're not at fault here we're looking into a fix/workaround, and will post updates in this thread as we figure something out

this will affect all downloading software too, including cobalt just saying in case you start getting ads in downloaded videos (and if you do, please let me know)

YouTube is currently experimenting with server-side ad injection. This means that the ad is being added directly into the video stream. This breaks sponsorblock since now all timestamps are offset by the ad times.
