- 0-1 into 6-1 on day 1. 0-1 into 4-1 on day 2. Almost 10 years since I played on a Sunday. Not a bad tournament to get lucky - just need to keep it up for a few more matches tomorrow. :)
- hardly the problem of the CRC. that's wotc printing crazy good chase mythics to milk players. and then that starts the powercreep as they have to top these to sell the next cards etc. can make the same argument for modern-nadu. people spent money, keep it legal. no, thanks.I think what a lot of people don't get about the Commander bannings is that whether or not they were good in a general gameplay sense, they where horrific in at a product-level. Tons of money wiped off the board on chase cards WotC used to sell sets. Erodes customer confidence.
- after 15 sets are legal in standard and every mythic already has hexproof and/or ward, are we going back to shroud or what's the next step?
- what are the odds that this got through design as 'if it attacked' and got changed by a certain design team to 'tapped' just before print? hmm.This card is wild. Seems pretty easy to play this, use a vehicle or saddle creature to tap it and drop an Omniscience or Portal to Phyrexian.
- Most of you won't believe me, but once upon a time the target audience for mtg were teenagers & students.
- had no idea I had this. probably have to go to an antique store to get a VHS player. :)
- I'm wondering what the hell went wrong in the design of this spider-set. there's 3 good color combinations (GW, UB and BR). GR and WU are way worse. then common cards that are typical deck-fillers are ... legendary?! and the icing on top are rares that don't work in their colors.
- I had a great weekend at MF Barcelona. Testing was a lot of fun. Special thanks go to @EdgarMTG and @Huschenmtg for the work on the temur rhino deck I played. And to @lsv for running the limited meeting. Happy to be back in the colder part of europe now though.
- looks like the 'big announcement for magic' is that WotC will continue to print MtG cards like they did the past 27 years. I hope this rush of adrenaline won't cause any complications, I'm pretty old and all.
- at the airport heading to vegas for worlds. excited to meet a lot of people over the next 2 weeks. and ideally win a match or two more than at the last PT.
