- Let's be clear: Israel's attack on Iran is not simply a violation of the UN Charter. It is a manifest violation of it. Few acts are more unequivocally illegal than preventive (non-imminent) self-defence. So Israel's attack is both unlawful and criminal -- the crime of aggression.

- I would love to see that textbook, because Israel is literally the only country in the world that has consistently claimed this kind of preventive self-defence is legal. Not even the US goes that far (with a couple of minor hiccups in 2002 and 2006).Itβs preemptive because itβs preempting the acquisition of nuclear weapons by a hostile regime. Thatβs not aggression. Thatβs textbook self-defense.

- Three independent judges -- from France, Slovenia, and Benin -- have unanimously decided, based on the evidence (which critics haven't seen), that there are reasonable grounds to issue the warrants on all of the charges other than extermination.
