I love that she recorded this. I love that people get to see what these giant corporations are like.
From the human perspective, how could she ever improve with this feedback? I would be furious in her position. I've had to fire and lay off people, and I hope I did better.
McMaster-Carr has always been a shining example of how a catalog distributor is run.
Their physical catalog - a masterpiece.
Their customer support - exquisite.
Their ecomm - some .net thing that's been cutting edge and incredibly usable for at least fifteen years.

I expect in a lot of cases this is the situation. This is one more reason to reject DEI garbage - it precludes people from engaging authentically with one another.
If she's fired for performance, it's harder to file for unemployment (not impossible). They could argue she needs to return any signing bonus or relo assistance as well. Ultimately, humans prefer honesty. Kafka-esque and opaque bureaucratic doublespeak is an offense to dignity.
