I'm back to building! Excited to share I've started a company with @pariljain and @lukeholoubek. We're building bots that do chores so you don't have to. Everyone is busy. Bots can help. So many things compete for our time - commutes, longer working hours, and the complexities

    1) Monday night was a night I’ll never forget. I’m still speechless. I got to take the first ride, by anyone, ever, in a *driverless* robotaxi on the streets of San Francisco. This was officially ride #1 for @Cruise. Full story and vids below. youtube.com/watch?v=dmvZBi…

Well folks, we did it. I have been waiting for this day for almost 10 years. I am proud to announce @cruise is now running 24/7 across all of San Francisco! This is a pivotal moment for our business. Let me tell you why 👇(1/6)

At Cruise I built robotaxis that completed 250k driverless rides, including the first rides ever in a major city. With the Tesla event coming up, many people have asked for my thoughts. I truly hope they get robotaxis working. Autonomy is the fastest and most effective way to

Tonight our driverless service area in SF expands to cover almost all of SF. Today is also exactly one year since my first ride, the first driverless ride in a major US city.

7 years. Finally did it. Nobody behind the wheel. Much work lies ahead, but I'm so proud of the Cruise team and ridiculously optimistic about the future. This is the exact moment it happened. (full vid here: youtube.com/watch?v=Pa7xU7…)

I can’t count the times I’ve been told that AVs will *never* be able to handle certain situations. How about taking a passenger through North Beach on St. Patrick’s day? Absolutely wild. Thanks to this driverless @cruise AV (named Twin Peaks) for the clip.

Came across one of our AVs nudging over for a cyclist approaching rapidly from behind. Possibly something a human would miss. But - we did NOT program this behavior! The AVs discovered on their own that this improves safety. What other tricks will they learn?
