    We're doing a thing! Speakers @HHMINEWS Science Meetings will no longer put journal names on their talk slides. Instead display first author, year, PMID (or DOI) like @ardemp Why? -end prestige-signaling -people can actually find reference #nojournalnamesontalkslides

    Often a major scientific discovery can be boiled down to a #singleplot in a paper. Mullis & Faloona describe "polymerase-catalyzed chain reaction". We did this paper in 1st year journal club @RockefellerUniv and concluded that nobody would ever use this method #PCR PMID: 3431465
