I find it hard to believe Ilya is a doomer. This doomer versus e/acc dichotomy doesn’t cleanly map onto the Openai exec suite. My wild guess is that the true disagreement up top is whether the current product roadmap is a distraction from the ultimate goal of getting to AGI.

chatgpt has no social features or built-in sharing, you have to sign up before you can use it, no inherent viral loop, etc. seriously questioning the years of advice i gave to startups 🙃
