This man might be the only ambassador in the modern world who actually understands what his job is and how to do it.

Connery was 32 by the time he was cast as James Bond. Before that he’d been a modestly successful competitive bodybuilder and model, and was a talented footballer who’d been scouted by Manchester United. You’re comparing elite-tier talent to some random guy with autism.

The image of Sean Connery on the right is from the 1962 film "Dr. No", where he was 32 at the time. The man on the right is James Windle, a Master Builder at LEGOLAND in Manchester. He was 38 at the time the photo was taken in 2022. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Conn… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._No_(f… standard.co.uk/news/uk/lego-m…

HR’s capacity to absolutely strangle the ability to hire is amazing. You’ll hear conversations about staff needs where very senior people say things like “Oh x is great, let’s just hope he makes it past HR”.

Nobody abandons the “great man theory” in graduate school, because they likely wouldn’t even pass an exam ten years prior if they so much as expressed a belief that the Napoleonic Wars might have something to do with Napoleon. I distinctly remember being taught in a GCSE history

Ah, great man theory. There's a reason most remotely competent historians abandon this model of reasoning by the end of their first year of graduate study.

The value of the entire global economy only exceeded $100tn in the last couple of years and only topped a trillion by the 1870s. For this to be the case Britain would have had to have “stolen” several times more wealth from than had actually existed in history up to that point.

People struggle to imagine a country where the average IQ is 75 because they don't realise how similar a person with an IQ of 75 is to one with an IQ of 115, or even 130. You've probably encountered quite a few without realising it, they're roughly 5% of the (British) population.

Protip: You could solve the “migrant crisis” in about six weeks simply by not allowing any type of benefit (local or national) to be drawn by anyone whose family entered the country after 1945.

This represents ~1.7% of UK GDP. Considering Muslims account for ~6.5% of the population you are basically crowing about being a fourfold economic deadweight, and this doesn’t even account for entitlements and other ahem “business activities”.

British Muslims generate at least £70 billion annually for the UK economy. Muslim-led businesses contribute billions of £s & create 1000s of jobs. The halal food industry generates over £1 billion in spending. Muslims contribute 4 times more than the average Brit, in charity.

This territory has been part of the US for about 6x as long as it was a part of Mexico and longer than it was claimed as territory by Spain. It was also never a political reality as even the part that was settled by the Spanish had a population of about 15 people.

For the record the median household income in West Virginia is almost 19 times the median household income in India, despite households in India being much larger. This is probably because WV alone has ~3.5x as many people with an IQ >115 than the entirety of India.

Reminder that this show was funded by government and likely conceived exactly so that it could be the subject of this kind of “conversation”. It’s perhaps the most blatant example of this kind of lazy, patronising astroturfing in history.

Everyone assumed that AI would result in a lot of men gooning themselves into oblivion but it’s more likely to oneshot the girls for the simple reason that it’s an excellent “friend” simulator as women understand “friendship.” Most people have never actually had a real friend
