The @nounsdao is going to be the most prolific philanthropic and incubatory effort of this decade. They are gathering parties willing to put up $800K USD just to join. It's hard not to imagine the things the Nouns can and will achieve with their (growing) $50M+ treasury.

This has likely been said by latent adopters of new technologies for the last century. Horses are the way to go, no one is going to use cars. Typewriters are a waste of metals, we already have pencils and paper. The internet has no utility, I can already send mail globally.
