- The NYPD is taking people straight to Rikers without ever presenting them in court, in violation of state law, a new suit alleges. That means no access to a lawyer, no chance to correct bureaucratic error, no future court date, no mechanism to get out.
- Yeauuuux where are my outside agitators with incriminating terroristic equipment at?
- NYPD officers trying to beat a stop light ran over a homeless man last night, killing him and dragging him down the block under their van.
- The senior NYC lawyer defending the NYPD in lawsuits over the 2020 protests, already sanctioned five times in those cases for failing to turn over evidence, was fired Friday over evidence she lied to a judge and forged emails to trick her opposing counsel.
- The real question is, why would Eric Adams think he’d get any other kind of response at a law school which specializes in training committed public defense and civil rights attorneys and the budget of which he has recently sought to slash?
