For my Christian friends opposed to “Christian nationalism,” I’d like to make a request.
Please stop making biblical arguments for what you think should be govt laws or policy.
This is the essence of what CNs want to do, and your criticism doesn’t land when you oppose them

- All the smug condescension, the pearl clutching, and the outrage being aimed at @douglaswils is exactly how secular liberals feel/think about every traditional Christian. Hopefully more Christians will understand this and stop joining the rabid throng.
- July 4 is a great day to say No to religious pluralism and Yes to Christian virtue… for the sake of this great nation.“Religious pluralism is an Enlightenment idea, not a Christian one, and it is not what our great nation was founded on or for… Instead, Christians should unapologetically promote Christianity.” @marcminter with Independence Day reflections as a Baptist centerforbaptistleadership.org/in-defense-of-…
- If my preference for this sort of talk over the Christ-hating babble of the Biden administration makes me a Christian nationalist, then color me red, white, and blue as I sing "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name"!
- Replying to @LigonierI can’t express my gratitude for this man and his ministry to me. He wouldn’t know me, but he has impacted my Christian life like no one else. God has truly used Dr. Sproul to renew my mind.
- When someone says, “The church should...” they often conflate two ideas: church members and the institution. There is much that Christians (church members) should do that the church as an institution should never do.

- Christians against Christian Nationalism: “If Christians impose their beliefs and ethics through government, then they will sometimes go too far, bear false witness, and confuse people about Christianity.” Christian Nationalists: “So, you prefer these people in charge?”
- This is incredibly awkward for me. Dr. Yarnell (@MusingsOnChrist) has both criticized me (a mere PhD student), and he’s blocked me so that it is impossible for me to learn from whatever mistake he thinks I’ve made. Is this what I should expect from Christian academia?
- Female pastors are the easiest and most obvious church polity error for Southern Baptists to address in our current cultural moment. We’ve got to get this right… and quickly.
- “If God saw it [fitting] that his Son should be afflicted in the world, let us not think we shall go to heaven…without also drinking of that same cup that he drank of.” - John Cotton
- If you pastor a small SBC church, consider asking your church to allocate some of its “missions” dollars to pay for your trip to the @SBCMeeting. SBC churches give “missions” dollars to the Cooperative Program, and these are used by many committee members, trustees, SBC entity
- Replying to @ZacharyAKleinJust because you can point to some clowning or ridiculousness doesn’t mean you’ve addressed my point at all. In fact, this is a complete avoidance of it.
