- What a week! Today we collected 20,000 pre-paid Farmfoods cards with another 12,000+ to come - they will be posted out to all families in @GlasgowCC in receipt of clothing grants next week to help at this difficult time
- Oh dear @joswinson how wrong you are - I agree early intervention is crucial but @GovanHighSchool is increasingly more successful - raising aspirations - 23.68% left school to higher education and 13.16% left school to go to university @bbcquestiontime‘Five or six miles down the road, in Glasgow, Govan, it’s 4%...’ @joswinson says ‘early intervention’ is critical to get more people from disadvantaged backgrounds into university. #bbcqt

- Sorry @JShuttleworth92 but not sure that I can agree with your very simplistic assertion that @thetimes list provides 'best' and 'worst' schools. Attainment is important but schools are so so much more than this.
- So disappointed to hear Prof Lindsay Paterson categorising ‘good parents’ as those who act as a ‘2nd teacher ‘ while others ‘not equipped’ - worse still not challenged by @BBCRadioScot

- Update on Farmfoods vouchers 31,028 complete - WOW!! what an amazing feat - our staff volunteers have worked so hard this week, coming in to Chambers every day in what was a very difficult first week of our new normal - I am sooooo proud #GoGlasgow

- Depressing read in Times by @mark_mclaughlin - sweeping generalisations about schools calling them 'poorest performing' describing pupils as 'extremely deprived' - the language is appalling - our young people, their teachers and their communities deserve better #ditchleaguetables
