My brother & I took this photo last month when I was in KC. It was the 2nd one we took bc he didn't like the 1st one since it was obvious he was sick. We took this one & he perked up & smiled. He wanted our last photo together to be a happy memory for me. He passed today ❤️🕊️

I appreciate Amanda Seales making the distinction for Black Americans, juxtaposed black people from other places. Until people internalize this truth, and be fully honest about it, we can't speak in terms of unity. Thank you Amanda Seales for speaking this truth. 💜✨🌟

I’m starting to see why Black Americans feel like the main character... We tell our history without needing to include others, but other groups often frame theirs as an extension of ours. It’s almost like they’re saying their history doesn’t exist without us. 😆

One thing we've learned from the discourse surrounding Beyoncé's new cover art (& singles) is, most of y'all have no idea what Black American culture is. You read our history in a book, but lack the understanding of the nuances of who we are. This is Black American culture.

I'm so tired of non-Black Americans who can pass as Black American speaking for Black Americans. Y'all really need to STFU.

If you made a whole burner account just to troll Black Americans… you don’t need Twitter, you need therapy. 😩

Chatgpt said Black indigenous people were erased in America. The erasure of Black indigenous people from mainstream history serves multiple agendas: 1. Land Dispossession: If Black Americans are seen as only African and not indigenous, they have no rightful claim to the land.

Africa doesn't need China, China needs Africa. I hope the people in the many nations of Africa realize this soon. I know y'all get online so maybe you need someone to say this. You don't need anyone but yourselves. You need to unite yourselves. You are whole in yourselves.

From: "Black Americans have no culture." To: "Their culture was forced onto us because of U.S. imperialism." Essentially, you infantilize Africans—took away your own agency—and for what? Why not just say "Black American culture is cool and influential." This is a weird post.

For the last 5+ years, immigrants in America have called us lazy, slaves, farm equipment, cultureless—said Black men are bullet bags and told us to stop ‘begging’ for & refuse to support our overdue justice—reparations. And now they pretend to not understand Black apathy. 🙃🙄
