- The FTX’s potential fall will create the biggest negative impact for our industry. Almost all sizeable player with any liquid assets will have some exposure to FTX. Will Binance bail out FTX?
- I've had the opportunity to work along the @ALEXLabBTC team the past month to close this round. Honestly they are the best ambassador for @Stacks as well as building on bitcoin. Three co-founders have combined over 40 years' in top banks globally and they understand products,ALEX, the Uniswap of Bitcoin, has raised a $10M round led by Spartan. You wouldn’t see such rounds a year ago. New devs, capital, and users are entering Stacks and other Bitcoin L2s. Bitcoin season 2 is here 🟧
- Our 11 year old son just told me that @FTX_Official invested in @TSM . Then he went on with his favorite team is @Sentinels and his favorite player is TENZ. Never expect my work cross path with his life this way but then again, of course it makes sense.
- So much is happening in the @Bitcoin developer space. Love the discussions btw @muneeb and @cburniske . Most insightful chat at @token2049 in SG.
- Ok, I'm ready to move on. It's hurtful but I have a company to run, clients to serve, kids to raise and parents to take care of. Life doesn't stop at FTX.
- I was in Hong Kong last week attending the first edition #BitcoinAsia conference. We hosted a Bitcoin Builder Meetup 9 months ago in Hong Kong and the community was still tiny. I am in still awe of how quickly this has changed. Biggest narratives are BTC L2s, BTC yield, BTC
- I really question the US based projects' claim that they want to go global when their default calendly only has slots before 5:30am and after 11pm Asia time.
- The Defi competition just got really exciting! @FTX_Official is launching a derivatives DEX on @solana. Please do not say "it's just a dex". It's a start of an entirely new Defi ecosystem.
- Such volume all on dex. No CEX needed to launch a token. I didn’t expect the power of dex has come so quickly.
- Community density is everything - the SMU (Singapore Mgmt University) has sent a lot of student talent to Web3 companies, with their campus in the middle of the city center, next to Bybit’s HQ - no wonder all I can hear is web3 chatters in the cafe on campus.
- Best advice I can give any founders - raise enough for the next 4 years asap. Mainstream adoption is 5-8 years away and roughly 2 cycles. No way you can last until the next bull market unless you have ample capital to compete.
- Crazy theory - Hainan will become the Hong Kong of China (financial center with less mainland oversight) in 10 years! Shanghai and Shenzhen are too close to the mainland to step into HK's role. Hainan is far away enough to create physical distance for both sides.
