Wow. The FCC tested Verizon, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular 4G LTE coverage in rural areas and found that THE CARRIERS WERE LYING ABOUT COVERAGE about 40% of the time. docs.fcc.gov/public/attachm… Takeaway: Cellular coverage maps are absolute shit. $VZ $TMUS $USM

There are growing indications that network operators like AT&T and T-Mobile won't need to build new cell towers in rural, uncovered areas anymore. After all, there are already hundreds – and soon, thousands – of satellites that will cover those areas.

I think this is the #5G "nuclear option." T-Mobile is passing out free 5G phones to just about everyone, and charging less for service than competitors, all with a network that's demonstrably the best in the country. If this isn't successful, I don't know what would be. $TMUS
