    A car dealership in Ballston Spa, NY is turning out Emmy-worthy videos on TikTok. The best way to describe Mohawk Chevrolet’s strategy is if The Office took place at a car dealership. I interviewed the (very funny) woman behind them, Grace Kerber. Here’s what I learned:

    a lot of praise on here for cetaphil’s super bowl commercial, but tiktok user sharon mbabazi (and her step dad) are claiming the brand stole the concept from their real story/viral content. here’s one of their original tiktoks (2.6M views) and then the response to the commercial.

    Boy Smells released a candle inspired by poppers. Someone commented on TikTok “I would’ve did anything to sit in on the first pitch meeting for this”. Boy Smells replied to the comment with a video of a Zoom recording of the whole marketing team trying poppers.

    the brand lush quit social media three years ago. i can’t stop thinking about this quote on why they left.
    In November 2021, the cosmetics brand Lush left social media. This is what they said at the time, “We wouldn’t ask our customers to meet us down a dark and dangerous alleyway – but some social media platforms are beginning to feel like places no one should be encouraged to go. Something has to change. We hope that platforms will introduce strong best practice guidelines, and we hope that international regulation will be passed into law. But we can’t wait. We feel forced to take our own action to shield our customers from the harm and manipulation they may experience whilst trying to connect with us on social media.” It unfortunately feels more relevant than ever today.
