Big news: Our paper Comprehensive Echocardiogram Evaluation with EchoPrime, is published in Nature! We had an ambitious idea that AI could help write echo reports. After years of work, I'm happy to reach this milestone. Excited for clinical deployment and the real-world impact!

KAN: Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks is a really elegant paper. It's refreshing to see that things worked by design rather than by accident in ML. I made a small KAN experiment comparing it to MLP and spline fitting. (notebook in comments!)

Ty for all the attention! @bozavlado pointed out that my MLP didn't converge with 500 steps. So when increasing the number of steps this is how the plot looks like. This is an even better visualization because it shows how MLP predictions has "sharp peaks". 1/2

you are right thanks for pointing this out. updated with 1000 steps MLP. With ReLU activation we still have sharp peaks

I managed to make the "interpretability" part work for me too - i.e. when you see the composition of functions one by one. But it takes some fine-tuning and it's harder to see it in 1D with 3 layers
