    Traditional Afghan clothes are as bright as our natural spirit. Our music, our poetry, our stories, our culture. All of it is bright and beautiful. Trying to kill our identity is futile.

    In Afghanistan, clothing FROM AFGHANISTAN is not allowed. Musical instruments FROM AFGHANISTAN are not allowed. Singing our own songs is banned. This is not anti-western, it's anti-Afghanistan. Taliban's target is the erasure of our thousands year old culture, our existence.

    Next time you watch a stupid foreign YouTube "adventure tourist" calling Afghanistan safe as they giggle exclusively with men, remember that the country's laws IN THE WORDS of THE TALIBAN have these plans for women.

    What is a "privileged" Afghan? The luckiest ones are those whose families fled? Deprived of living in your homeland, disconnect from identity & reading headlines about your people suffering isn't privilege. Stop attacks on them & focus on why they are diaspora in the first place

    As Afghan refugees arrive to your countries please make note : They will be grateful for your hospitality & are relieved to be alive.They will appreciate a safe place to raise their children. But they did not want to leave. A free and safe Afghanistan is the dream, not this.

    Afghans are sending messages of love & hope to Ukraine, even while Afghanistan's own similar circumstances are considered debatably tragic & mostly ignored. There is no "what about us?" Instead the strong message is "Nobody should suffer this way" I love the Afghan spirit 🇦🇫
