    If it all goes to shit, I wanna say Twitter has—at its best—given this solo freelancer a sense of community and camaraderie. It's exposed me to ideas I wouldn't have otherwise encountered, IRL friends I wouldn't have otherwise had, and penises I wouldn't have otherwise seen.

    Two blokes just walked past me and chuckled to each other saying “Yep he’s definitely gay” and I felt pure unadulterated ... relief. Being mistaken for heterosexual is the ultimate insult, I’ve seen how you people dress.

    It's tempting to treat Pete Evans like a joke, but remember it was only last year an Australian citizen—who had the same neo-Nazi symbol on his rucksack—committed in Christchurch the worst ever modern-day massacre by an Australian national. Stop being relaxed about this stuff.

    As an Australian having seen her address a crowd in person, I’ve gotta say it’s impressive how Ardern consistently and confidently opens proceedings in Te Reo Māori. When it comes to engagement, respect and basic knowledge of First Nations language and culture, we’re so behind.
