This is the real value of football. Applause in the fourth minute of Blackpool v Barnsley for Steve Bruce’s grandson. Universally observed including the referee who stopped the game to allow it and also joined in the applause himself. 👏🙏👏🙏👏 🧡

Credit on the name of ref Paul Howard (22 secs). He knew it was not an official minute applause but one led by the Blackpool supporters for the little man. Yet he knew what was right in his heart & held up play to focus on what was truly important. 👏 🙏🧡

So much goodwill from all for Duncan Ferguson to be a success at Forest Green. About 10 years ago I put on a football session for kids with learning disabilities in Skelmersdale. I reached out, Duncan said he’d be there. I was sceptical. He came, was awesome & stayed for 3 hours.

When #ITFC heard last week of 14-year old huge @IpswichTown supporter George being diagnosed with Osteosarcoma needing intensive chemotherapy, they immediately sent him this package & matchday invitation. George & family overwhelmed by Ipswich kindness at a difficult time.🙏👏 💙
