Chicago is asking residents to reduce water use to help prevent flooding & almost everyone in article comments are saying they’re gonna water their lawns/take even longer showers, etc. I don’t know how we combat this “I’d rather ruin everything than consider others” mentality.

I remember going to a Walgreens walk-in clinic worried I had shingles. The woman who saw me literally laughed in my face, waved her hand and said there was no way. Then I pulled up my shirt and showed her that I had fucking shingles. I was 30.

I’ve been tweeting about the shingles vaccine for years. The recommendation is everyone 50+ and immunocompromised 18-49. 99% of pharmacists *will not* give it to an immunocompetent patient under 50. It’s not about what insurance will cover. This isn’t a tweet about shingles.

Wild how in 2020/2021, more people working from home +less people driving had our emissions drastically down, and masking/better air quality eradicated an entire flu strain, but people are like nahhhh we need to go back to the “normal” that destroys the planet and our health 🥴
