Such a huge honour to have been awarded an Emmy last night! No amount of thank yous are enough for all my wonderful colleagues at CNN, from across the globe, who have shown me endless support since my very first day as an intern on the newsdesk in 2018. So, so grateful 🙏🏼

Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank is getting worse by the day. The UN says the number of attacks has risen sharply since 7th October. Many Palestinian villagers are now fleeing their homes for good as a result of threats against their land, and their lives…

Stories of abuse and torture were shared with us by many Palestinian workers returned to #Gaza on Friday after being detained for weeks by Israeli forces. “They put us in cages like dogs, they beat us and insulted us,” Mahmoud Abu Darabeh told our team upon his return to Gaza.

Our latest report on #Gaza is extremely distressing - but this is the reality on the ground. At least 500 children have been killed so far, and that figure will rise as Israel’s airstrikes - and the siege - continue. Please watch the full report here: edition.cnn.com/videos/world/2…

“I lived through the Nakba of 1948. Now I am living through the Nakba of 2023.” 90-year-old Souad Al-Alem is amongst the more than one million displaced within Gaza, living through relentless Israeli airstrikes and a humanitarian catastrophe unfolding before the world’s eyes.

Rights groups say Israel’s attacks on Gaza have emboldened settlers. In some villages, they have physically abused Palestinians, burned houses, slashed water tanks and power cables. Often, the Israeli army has even accompanied settlers as these acts of aggression are carried out.

For many in Amman - and across the globe - the protests we’re seeing are not about Hamas. They’re not an expression of indifference to the killing of Israeli civilians. They’re about solidarity with the Palestinian people + opposition to Israel’s devastating airstrikes on #Gaza.

A CNN investigation has found that, not only did Israeli forces fail to stop the riots in #Huwara in Feb, they also did not protect residents as settlers set fire to Palestinian homes and businesses and blocked emergency services from responding...

Cautious calm appears to have returned to #Tripoli, but this weekend’s deadly clashes have now claimed at least 32 lives and injured more than 150 others. As ever, Libya’s innocent civilians pay the heaviest price as they grapple with the devastation left behind 🇱🇾 #ليبيا

Hundreds of thousands of people across southeast #Turkey are now living in camps like this one in Iskenderun - many still gripped by trauma after the earthquake. Everyone here prays that this will all be temporary, but aid workers tell us these camps could be in place for years.

I just got one of those ‘on this day’ alerts on my phone, reminding me of a photo I took of @asmamk on @CNN in 2019 - I was so excited to see a fellow hijabi on the panel! Fast forward exactly two years, I did my first live reporter hit for the US channel, joining @FWhitfield 🙏🏻
