    New: CPS confirmed that ICE agents visited Hamline Elementary in Back of the Yards Friday in Chicago.

    Her husband was sitting in Walgreens when he learned shelter staff had thrown away their documents. “We warned you,” a staffer said to him over the phone. “When did you call me?” his voice cracked. “Can you check to see if the papers are under the mattress?” Photos @mandophotos

    ICE agents in Chicago have allegedly detained several people at an office for the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP), run by ICE. Family members said their loved ones received messages several days ago from the government telling them to appear for check-ins.

    A parent dropping off two students at a school on the Southwest Side of Chicago was detained by ICE Wednesday morning. An ICE spokesperson said his name was Francisco Andrade-Berrera, 37, and that he "is a known member of a violent street gang." See the full statement:

    Around 12:30 a.m. Friday, the Tribune watched a charter bus from Texas drop off about 40 migrants in Glen Ellyn and then drive away. After missing the train, they stood outside in subfreezing temperatures wearing cotton T-shirts, pants and sandals. chicagotribune.com/immigration/ct…
